A World Without Barriers is an independent, voluntary, not-for-profit and non-governmental organisation. We remain independent by staying away from all forms of politics and this helps us to work independently and sincerely.
A World Without Barriers helps the most needy and vulnerable all across the world.
The activities of the Medics Team are constantly expanding. Our current work is based in Najaf/Karbala (South Iraq) working in A World Without Barriers’ medical clinic with an equipped dental clinic, optometry assessment unit, and multi-station medical clinics.
Mission Statement
Our intention is to help everyone on the basis of humanity, with the main focus being placed on helping orphans, the needy, the destitute and the most vulnerable worldwide. Our aim is to bring the plight of the poor to you to help change lives.
Values
Our values are based around love for humanity. We do not differentiate on grounds of faith, race, culture or colour.
In our view, we are all one people who share the same planet, a planet that, if observed from space, has no barriers, no borders, and whose resources are for all, hence ‘A World Without Barriers’.

Volunteer Roles
A World Without Barriers’ Medics Team is composed of hard-working professionals coming together to volunteer and help orphans, widows and the poor around the globe.
Our team is composed of healthcare professionals from all disciplines including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, dental nurses, radiographers and non-healthcare professionals including admin staff, translators and more.
The activities of the Medics Team are constantly expanding. Our current work is based in Najaf/Karbala (South Iraq) working in A World Without Barriers’ medical clinic with an equipped dental clinic, optometry assessment unit, and multi-station medical clinics. Volunteers will be providing free healthcare to orphans, widows and the general needy who have no access to free healthcare.
The trip will be self-funded and will be all-inclusive of flights, visa, airport taxes, 4/5* hotel accommodation, full board 3 meals a day and transport to and from the clinic. We will take care of all of the arrangements for you, allowing you to be able to focus on treating the needy. Your contact will be the Clinic Lead which will be confirmed at the time.
